Our Story — The Origins of ATEM
Before Nich became known for high-performance bicycles, we began with carbon wheels.
Back in 2011, the cycling industry was very different—fewer brands and even fewer carbon wheelsets were available. Those that did exist were often prohibitively expensive and out of reach for most riders. We saw an opportunity to offer something better.
Our journey started with a passion for performance, quality, and precision. We sought to create a product that would deliver real value to riders—not just a product off the shelf, but one engineered with purpose. Our vision was always clear: to offer world-class carbon wheels that elevate the riding experience without compromising on quality.
From the very beginning, we’ve focused on ensuring that every component of our wheels—from the rim to the hub to the spokes—is designed and crafted with the highest standards in mind. We believe that high performance is about the perfect balance of materials, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. It’s not about cutting corners—it’s about getting the best out of every part to deliver optimal performance.
We’ve always believed in value—not as the lowest price, but as the right performance for the price paid. Our wheelsets may not be the least expensive, but we stand by the quality, engineering, and support behind every pair.
Since our first launch, we’ve continued to listen, refine, and evolve. We’ve used customer feedback, tackled challenges, and focused on delivering carbon wheels that riders can trust—ride after ride.
